Greenbrier School District is excited to announce that Eastside Elementary School has been selected for Arkansas Department of Education's Professional Learning Communities Pilot Project in 2017-2018. The schools selected will serve as working models for the Professional Learning Communities process, conduct action research and share best practices with other schools throughout the state. Eastside Elementary School was selected through a rigorous application and evaluation process. A panel of educational professionals knowledgeable of the PLC at Work process reviewed 83 applications and made the selections.  The district and EES welcomes Solution Tree to Greenbrier to facilitate work around the three big ideas of focusing on learning, building a collaborative culture, and creating results orientation. PLC at Work schools and districts are distinguished by the process in which educators work collaboratively in recurring cycles of collective inquiry and action research to achieve better results for the students they serve. Principal, Mandi Dunlap, along with some EES students led a surprise announcement for the EES staff this week to begin the project by celebrating its selection.  Congratulations to EES! More information can be found in ADE's press release.
