Second graders in Ms. Fletcher’s class have been working hard on geography lap books in social studies and they have finished the task! The kids were so proud of their work and they know all about the continents, oceans, cardinal directions, landforms, and much more!
In math, students carouseled around the room and worked in small groups to determine a variety of ways to show the same amount of money. Next, they will be learning change back and how to solve word problems involving money!
They also worked on bridge experiments in science and had a blast. Students had to analyze materials to determine their absorbency and strength and then choose the appropriate materials to build their bridges. They tested the bridges and they all passed the test!
